The Main Gallery presents Mimic, featuring Samuray Akarvardar, an abstract figurative artist working in mixed media. Akarvardar is inspired by the stories of the people she meets, the daily news, and the novels she reads. Her childhood memories include family trips to the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts of Turkey. Her visual world is poetic and creates a connection with the viewer on a personal level.

The exhibition runs June 4 through July 21. Gallery hours are 11am to 5pm, Tuesday through Sunday. Meet Akarvardar and other Gallery artists at the Second Friday Receptions on June 14 and July 12 from 5pm to 7pm

The Main Gallery, located at 883 Santa Cruz Avenue, Suite 1, Menlo Park, is an artists’ cooperative dedicated to enriching the artistic experience of the community and celebrating the work of local artists. For more information call 650 701-1018 or go to www.themaingallery.org.
