Mad Men Cocktail Hour and Costume Contest
Special Event Jackson Junge Gallery
Cocktail Hour and Costume Contest: Saturday, June 29th, 7-9 PM
Mad Men Cocktail Hour and Costume Contest is a special event at Jackson Junge Gallery, 1389 N Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago. The cocktail hour will feature the current group exhibition “Sex Sells: The Power and Influence of Sexual Imagery.” The evening begins at 7 PM on Saturday, June 29th, 2013 and is free to the public. Must be 21+ to attend.
Don Draper states, “What you call love was invented by guys like me to sell nylons.” Using this as inspiration to wrap up the final weeks of the wildly successful “Sex Sells” exhibition, Jackson Junge Gallery will be hosting a Mad Men themed cocktail hour. Guests are invited to put on their favorite Mad Men inspired attire and join us for an evening of hors d’oeuvres and drinks.
There will be a costume contest and the winner takes home a special prize from the show.
The menu will have some 60’s favorites with pigs-in-a-blanket, Pimento cheese and Ritz Crackers, as well as a deviled-egg bar. Dress to impress, grab a whiskey sour, and enjoy a wonderful evening.
The Jackson Junge Gallery features the work of Laura Lee Junge and other contemporary artists. The Gallery is open every day of the week, free of charge. Hours are Monday thru Saturday: 11am – 8pm, Sunday: 12 Noon – 5pm. For more information, visit www.J2Gallery.com.
