Date:
Friday, 4 March 2016 to Sunday, 27 March 2016

To celebrate Women's History Month in the month of March.

Marita's subject is often women, she chooses to paint in acrylic due to its versatility, ample array of colors as well as its quickness to dry. Born in the Dominican Republic, raised in New York, with Dutch ancestry, and now living in London, her paintings are often filled with a splash Caribbean color, American flashiness, urban modernism and a European flair. She uses the canvas to tell a story often unable to be fairly expressed with words.

The paintings are about women, love, sadness, happiness and social dilemmas. They evoke emotions, deriving from the experiences and the playfulness of the girls.
