The Blue Gallery in Venice invites art lovers to experience Lost in Reflection, an evocative solo exhibition by Sasho Blazes, running from November 7 in Venice. This showcase of new works examines perception, transformation, and the delicate interplay between visibility and mystery.
Blazes' artistic journey, marked by major exhibitions in Berlin and Paris, takes a bold turn in this collection. "I removed three letters from my name as a gesture of renewal," shares the artist, symbolizing a reimagined identity tied to yet distinct from his past.
Through vibrant and monochromatic layers, Blazes depicts abstract forms inspired by natural elements like tree shadows and water reflections. Materials such as nylon and aluminum lend a tactile depth to the work, creating a dialogue between modern abstraction and ancient mysticism. Inspired by the serene yet enigmatic depths of Lake Ohrid, where Blazes resides, his pieces offer a metaphorical plunge into emotional and subconscious realms.
The exhibition bridges the chaos of contemporary life and the tranquility of self-discovery. Each canvas, illuminated by a primal light emerging from abstract depths, invites viewers to explore hidden worlds and unravel the duality between the visible and the concealed.
For Blazes, Lost in Reflection is not just an artistic statement but a meditative act, a search for equilibrium amidst the fears and stereotypes of modern society. It is a journey into the unseen—a call to uncover the treasures within ourselves that can transform our view of the world.
