In Coyote Temple - A year in Cheasty Green Space
new work by Seattle artist John Smither
Local artist John Smither spent a year slogging through a narrow strip of urban wilderness known as Cheasty Green space. This exhibit focuses on his impressions of this area located along the Beacon Hill neighborhood in South Seattle.

The exhibit includes works on canvas, woodcuts, , hollow core doors, and a bit of chain link fence. It follows a season cycle of native growth and invasive species all under the detached eye of the neighborhood’s apex predator.

A preview of Smither’s work can be found at www.johnsmither.net. John lives in Seattle and has been an active artist in Chicago and Seattle for over 20 years.
