history
Since its founding in 1986 by the three architects Morten Schmidt, Bjarne Hammer and John F. Lassen, the Aarhus-based practice has evolved to become one of the leading architecture firms in Scandinavia.
schmidt hammer lassen has an annual turnover of more than DKK 100m and a staff complement of 180 spread across offices in Aarhus, Copenhagen, Oslo and London. The partner group has also grown. In addition to the three founders, the group now includes Morten Holm, Kim Holst Jensen and Stephen D. Willacy, along with three associate partners.
