With its fresh focus, each exhibition at Transition Two Gallery features two artists in dialogue, in collaboration or in opposition.
A programme of regular exhibitions at the gallery usually combines artists at the beginning of their careers alongside the more established and engages a wide range of media. An ethos of DIY permeates gallery life with a fearless drive to try things out. This approach makes for a vibrant environment of experimentation.
Offsite projects have included a gallery exchanges with a spacea in Los Angeles and New York; group residenies in Italy scheduled; and an exhibition at Sutton House, a National Trust property in Hackney.
Transition Editions (Transition’s publishing wing) produces occasional books and two regular bi-annual magazines, Garageland and Arty. Stockists include: BFI Filmstore, Camden Arts Centre, ICA, Saatchi Gallery, Serpentine Gallery.
