“TRANSFIGURED”: WATERCOLORS AND MIXED MEDIA CONSTRUCTIONS BY KRISTIN OTWELL
MAY 4 -28
FIRST FRIDAY RECEPTION MAY 5, 5-8PM
WINE BY THE GRAZIANO FAMILY OF WINES
In May North Coast artist Kristin Otwell is exhibiting a new body of work.
In a show entitled “Transfigured”, the artist looks closely at the way nature takes back what mankind has made through a process that is both amazing and beautiful. With watercolor paintings and mixed media constructions, homage is paid to what has been transfigured by rust, decay, age and decomposition. Rotting wood and rusting metals lend themselves to Otwell’s unique watercolor perspective.
Partners Gallery is located at 335 N. Franklin Street in Fort Bragg and is open Wednesday through Monday 10 am to 5 pm and Sundays 10 am to 4 pm. 707 962-0233 http://www.partnersgallery.com>
