The Caldwell Gallery presents "Luminous Essays", a collaboration of uniquely presented photography by fine art photographers from the Peninsula Photographic Arts Guild (PPAG). This exhibit will run July 2nd through September 3rd. and is located on the first floor of 400 County Center at the Hall of Justice.
Light is the primary tool in the photographer’s cache. It is what attracts us to capture the moment. In “Luminous Essays” the photographers have dramatically created diverse works of art. Each image is a narrative that contributes to the whole like nouns and verbs strung along to form a greater discussion and yet bound by a common denominator – Light.
Participating photographers are: Linda Barsotti, Jerry Barrack, Gino DeGrandis, Barry Fleisher, Nancy Garcia, John Garvic, Martha Ketterer, Ellen Lee, David Massolo, Steve Okonek, Mary Scarpetti, Bob Stine, Cheryl Strong and TomWatson. The Peninsula Photographic Arts Guild (PPAG) is an organization consisting of photographers in the Bay Area who are dedicated to the promotion of Fine Art Photography, exploring and encouraging innovation within the medium.
This exhibit is sponsored by the San Mateo County Arts Commission and curated by Teresa Silvestri. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. For more information, visit our website at: cmo.smcgov.org/arts-commission.
