Jahday Ford discusses his glass vessels, Axle which combine ancient techniques with contemporary innovations with Seetal Solanki, writer, Founder and Director of Ma-tt-er which is a relational practice focused on building and bridging kinships between ourselves, materials, the immaterial and virtual.

Axle is a family of vessels which combine ancient glass techniques with contemporary innovation, challenging what is possible with the material today. Led by an interest in the complex relationship between the digital and the hand-made form, Jahday Ford uses 3D modelling software to develop the designs for his work.
