Join us for the highly anticipated exhibition "David Mason: Framing the American Experience," showcasing the stunning works of California native David Mason. This exhibition will open November 1st, 2024 at Barbagelata Contemporary Art Foundation.

David Mason is a self-taught artist known for his striking color palettes, innovative use of mixed media, and deep connection to themes of Americana and nature. With a background in photography, Mason captures the essence of his subjects, creating a harmonious blend of realism and minimalism. His artwork invites viewers to engage with their own stories and interpretations, transforming each piece into a personal experience.

This exhibition features a selection of Mason’s recent works that reflect his fascination with the beauty of the American landscape and its cultural heritage. Each piece incorporates a variety of mediums, including color pencil, acrylic, metallic leaf, and graphite, resulting in a painterly style that breathes life into every detail.

Mason’s art often reflects a deep appreciation for folk motifs and traditional craftsmanship, blending contemporary aesthetics with time-honored themes. Notable works in this exhibition, such as "Hope," "The Little Prince," and "Uncle Sam," exemplify his ability to convey emotion through color and form, while pieces such as "Denim" and "Folk Art" pay a detailed homage to the rich tapestry of American cultural heritage.

Through his artistic practice, Mason captures the beauty of the American landscape, transforming it into a medium for personal expression and collective memory. His works resonate with themes of nature, identity, and heritage, reflecting the diversity of the American experience.

In addition to the exhibition, Mason will join us for an exclusive interview, where he will share insights into his creative process, inspirations, and the significance of the themes he enjoys exploring in his work.

The online admission is free and open to the public. We invite art enthusiasts, collectors, and the community to come together to celebrate the rich tapestry of American culture through David Mason’s unique lens.
